Dr. Gwee Sai Ling is an experienced HRDCorp Accredited Trainer,
ESG and Sustainability impact coach, assessor, and consultant with
over a decade of leadership in higher education and youth development.

She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Economics from Universiti Sains Malaysia and an
Executive Master in Applied Sustainability and ESG Practices UiTM. Her expertise spans
across ESG strategy, environmental economics, sustainability coaching and assessment,
and talent development, making her a highly sought-after trainer and advisor in both
academic and professional sectors.

Dr. Gwee has held key leadership roles, including having served as General Manager at
the Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC), a government agency focused on
youth development. She also held senior leadership positions in Malaysian higher
education institutions for over a decade, contributing to academic management,
curriculum development, and student leadership initiatives. She contributed actively to
the empowerment of young professionals and entrepreneurs, having served as Advisor
to JCI Bayan (Penang) (2024–2027) and the PUMM Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Association
Youth Bureau (2021–2023). Her commitment to youth excellence was reflected through
her roles as Chief Judge for the 2023 Top Outstanding Youth Malaysia Award by JCI
Malaysia, Panel Chief for the Anugerah Perdana Belia Kebangsaan Penang (2023–2024),
and Chief Judge for the 2024 Ten Outstanding Penang Youth Award.

In the area of sustainability and governance, Dr. Gwee also serves as an Assessor and
Coach for the 2024 Malaysia Sustainability Awards (organized by the Sustainability
Business Network Association Malaysia) and as Judge for 2024 Sustainable
Development Award (organised by JCI Malaysia).

She is a certified NLP practitioner and Certified Professional Coach conferred by NFNLP (USA), with professional certifications in ESG Compliance & Reporting, ESG and Sustainability Impact Coach, and ESG and
Sustainability Impact Assessor (ISO 17024). Dr. Gwee is frequently invited as a keynote
speaker, panellist, and guest lecturer in forums, seminars, and conferences on ESG,
sustainability, leadership, and youth development. With her cross-disciplinary expertise
and strategic vision, she continues to drive impactful change through education,
capacity building, and sustainable development initiatives.
